Editorial principles and publishing standards
Our Editorial Principles
At The Work Injury Site, our goal is to provide clear, practical and accurate information about Victorian WorkCover claims.
The Victorian WorkCover system can be confusing, complex and difficult to navigate, particularly for injured workers who are dealing with physical injuries, psychological injuries, financial pressures, medical treatment and uncertainty about their future.
We created this website to help injured Victorian workers better understand their rights and obligations within the WorkCover scheme.
Who Writes Our Content?
All articles published on this website are written by us, Michael and Peter.
We are experienced Victorian WorkCover lawyers who practise almost exclusively in workplace injury matters.
Unlike many websites that rely on freelance writers, marketing agencies or artificial intelligence to create legal content, the information published on this website is authored by lawyers with experience assisting injured workers through the Victorian WorkCover system.
Where articles are updated, reviewed or expanded, those updates are undertaken by us.

If there is a conflict between the simplified explanation contained on this website and the law itself, the legislation and relevant legal authorities take precedence.

Every WorkCover claim is different and the outcome of a claim will depend on the individual facts, evidence and applicable law.
